Things We Believe:
- We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired without any mixture of error. It is God’s perfect word to man.
- We believe that there is only on living and true God, worthy of all possible honor, confidence, and love. In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the Genesis account of Creation
- We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born out of the virgin Mary. He is the only Savior of the world because only He died to pay the penalty for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.
- We believe that man was created in holiness, but voluntarily disobeyed God’s command in the Garden of Eden and thus fell into sin. Consequently, all men/women are now sinners in need of the Savior and destined for hell.
- We believe that man cannot save himself by his own works or any other means. Salvation is God’s gift, entirely by grace, through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.
- We believe in a literal heaven where the saved will dwell forever and a literal hell where unbelievers will dwell forever.
- We believe that once a person is saved, he becomes a child of God and cannot lose his salvation.
- We believe that the church is composed of all those who have placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is head of the Church, His Body. This spiritual church takes on visible form in the local church, which is a body of baptized believers who join together for the purpose of worship, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and evangelism as they carry out the Lord’s Commission.
- We believe that baptism is the immersion in water of a repentant believer in Christ by the representative of a New Testament church. Baptism has no saving power nor does it secure salvation in any way; however, is it prerequisite to local church membership and participation in the Lord’s Supper
- We believe that the Lord’s Supper (Communion) is a symbolic ceremony in which the assembled church partakes of the unleavened bread and fruit of the vine, in remembrance of the sacrificial body and shed blood of Jesus Christ until He comes again.
- We believe that the first day of the week (Sunday) is to be set apart for worship and divine service as a memorial of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
- We believe that at the end of this age Jesus Christ will personally and bodily return for His believers, and will establish His Millennial Kingdom on this earth, and afterward He will create a new heaven and earth where the saved will live for all eternity.
