Mid-Valley Kids

At Mid-Valley, we view children as a gift and blessing from God and so we always welcome babies, toddlers, older children, and kids with special needs into our service as part of our family. We know that our role in Children’s Ministry is to assist parents in their important calling of raising their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. That’s why we offer excellent Nursery care and a rich Sunday School curriculum designed to encourage family discussion and interaction.

Here are some frequently asked questions about Mid-Valley Kids

  • Absolutely. Children are always welcome in the service at Mid-Valley. We appreciate the whole family of God together and do our best to encourage participation from all ages. That means adults strive to be patient and focused as children learn to be as quiet and attentive as they are able, and we have lots of grace in the process. We promise, those beautiful noises your child makes are not bothering anyone!

  • Children start off in the Sanctuary with their parents for worship and then are dismissed to go downstairs. Children start all together for one more additional worship song just for them. Next the children split up into three classes: Pre-K to 1st grade, 2nd/3rd grade, and 4th/5th grade. The children then enjoy age appropriate, theologically sound, God-centered bible stories, enjoy a snack and an age appropriate craft or activity.

  • Yes! Our little ones are more than welcome to stay in the service with their parents, or we have our Nursing Mothers room downstairs where parents can listen to the sermon live while their little ones can wiggle and crawl. We also have a classroom for children up to 4 year old staffed with faithful members of our church.
